Below is a list of current upcoming and recent past Cultural Expedition Events organised for members:

 

  • Thursday, 12, January, 2023:
    Cultural Event: Visit to the Park Row Synagogue on Thursday 12th January 2023 at
    10.30am
    This visit will be conducted by
    Tony Gordon, a former '1904' member.
    This visit will be limited to about 25 people.
    There is no charge, but donations are welcomed by the Synagogue

  • Tuesday, 10 January, 2023:
    Cultural Event:
    City Centre Walk-2: Commemorative Plaques and Pedestals. 
    10.30am start from the Watershed Cafe led by Gordon Young.

    This walk is  totally new for January, 2023.  The walk is around parts of the city centre discovering many things that you have probably walked past a thousand without realising that there are stories written in the streetscape.
    £5 pp in cash on the day and a limit of 12.

  • Thursday, 01 December, 2022:
    Cultural Event: University of Bristol Theatre Collection at 11:00
    The Theatre Collection is one of the world's largest archives of British
    theatre history and Live Art.
    We will be shown the highlights of the collection by the curator. This visit
    is limited to ten people
    There is no charge, but donations are welcomed by the Collection.

  • Tuesday, 22 November, 2022:
    Cultural Event: Visit to the Ken Stradling Collection at 48, Park Row - half a stone's throw from our Red Lodge.  The exhibition appears to be full - but you might try to have a look in case there may be a spot available.
