The  BLUE FEATHERS - Entertainment and Performing Members.

The Blue Feathers are the performing heart of the Bristol 1904 Arts Society, providing high-quality entertainment for our members and guests.

They take centre stage at our Wednesday evening meetings, formal dinners, and special guest nights — bringing variety, talent, and energy to every gathering.

What We Perform

Blue Feather entertainment is diverse and eclectic, ranging from solo performances to small groups:

  • Solo acts – Instrumentalists, magicians, poets, and raconteurs.
  • Singers & musicians – Performers accompanied on piano, or accompanying themselves on piano, guitar, banjo, or other instruments.
  • Ensembles – Duos, vocal groups, string quartets, and other combinations.

The styles of performance are just as varied: classical, choral, songs from the musicals, jazz, folk, contemporary, and original material. Often, a single evening blends multiple genres — and we’re always open to new forms of entertainment to keep our programme fresh and exciting.

Becoming a Blue Feather

Membership as a Blue Feather is gained by:

  1. Contacting the one of the Entertainment Wardens.
  2. A meeting with existing Blue Feathers.
  3. A live performance audition in our iconic Performance Hall.

Currently, around 30 members perform as Blue Feathers, and we are keen to welcome more performers — especially younger musicians and entertainers of all genders.

Why Join?

Blue Feathers enjoy a supportive, friendly, and welcoming environment — almost like an extended family. Our performers come from diverse musical and entertainment backgrounds, which makes for lively collaboration and variety on stage.

As the Society continues to expand, we aim to grow into a high-calibre cultural venue for Bristol, offering an even broader programme and longer season.

Explore & Get Involved

On this site you’ll find examples of Blue Feather performances inside our Performance Hall. Please have a look — and imagine yourself performing there too.
