The Green Feathers – Our Audience Members

As an arts and performing arts society, we are fortunate to count a wide range of performers and artists among our members. But without an audience, all of this would be in vain. That’s where the Green Feathers come in.

Green Feathers are our audience members — the heartbeat of every Wednesday night meeting during the season (October to April). They come to enjoy the art, music, performance, and entertainment provided by our Red and Blue Feather members each week.

More Than an Audience

Many Green Feathers also contribute behind the scenes, helping to ensure our building, events, social functions, and activity groups all run smoothly for everyone’s enjoyment.

And for some, being a Green Feathers is just the beginning. Over time, many members gain the confidence to step forward — whether by performing, painting, or trying something new — and in doing so discover hidden talents they never knew they had.

Being a Green Feather means being part of the '1904' family: a group of friends who love the arts and performing arts and who maintain the unique traditions of the club in a fun, friendly, and welcoming way.

Why Join as a Green Feather?

No other club offers quite what we do:

29 nights of art and entertainment throughout the season.
Cultural and hobby groups within the club, from Photography and Bird-watching to Walking and Golf.
Unique experiences, such as driving classic cars around Castle Combe race track, enjoying members’ BBQs and taking part in trips and cultural expeditions.
Art workshops open to all, including complete beginners.

Membership & Introductory Offer

Membership as a Green Feather is £320 per year, giving you access not only to our Wednesday evenings but also to the many other activity groups across the Society.
