As you might be aware, every Wednesday during our season, our members enjoy a concert of Entertainments that might include classical, jazz or contemporary music, singing, poetry & recitation, magic performance etc.  A fun night together with fellow members and accompanied by an art display of works produced and painted on the night.

But we reserve the Wednesday night before Remembrance Sunday, in more sombre reflection, to honour and pay tribute to those in the armed forces in particular, that - for our tomorrow, they gave their today!  We decorate our Performance Hall with red poppies and we display period artworks of our past members to remind and inspire the gratitude we owe to those who were so unselfish and that made the ultimate sacrifice.

The Chairman for the evening is always one who has themselves served in our armed forces in the past and who can represent - those who have died ore were injured on our behalf.

We open our evening with the Last Post played by a bugler and following The Tribute read by the Chairman, the bugler sounds the Reveille and so the evening continues - mostly themed around the Remembrance observance.
