Snappers Annual Curtain Raiser:

Visit to the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Exhibition - M-Shed

It has become customary that the Snappers (Bristol 1904 Arts Photographic Group) kick off their annual calendar of meetings and photoshoots with a visit to the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Exhibition held at the M-Shed.

This visit reinforces to the members just how versatile the camera is.  It also brings home just how tenacious one has to be to capture that perfect image.  Or indeed how pure luck often plays a huge part in securing a mind blowing image.  It is also inspirational for the photographers as they commence another twelve months of their own attempts to capture that WOW moment.

On the freezing cold but bright January 17th morning seven Snappers and one spouse made the visit.  Roger Bonner; Peter Jones; Michael Hollyhead; Bill Phillips; Tony Lavelle; Martin Woodhead; Jonathan and Ruth Bolgar all met in the M-Shed Coffee Shop for a brief planning meeting and a much needed hot coffee or hot chocolate prior to entering the exhibition.

Further information is provided by the M-Shed's own website:
